Telemark’s roots began in the 1950’s when Hugo Dalene, the now retired patriarch arrived from Norway, aspiring to construct homes with the honesty and craftsmanship traditionally revered in his homeland.
Hugo taught his son Frank from an early age, learning as a carpenter’s helper. Through Frank’s college years at Nyack College, Frank continued to hone his skills and started his own contracting business after graduation. Shortly thereafter he joined his father forming what is now Telemark Inc. Frank is President and CEO of Telemark Inc.
Franks brother Roy Dalene pursued and received a degree in Civil Engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York. After graduation he joined Bechtel Power Corporation where he worked for two years. He then completed the team and joined his brother and father at Telemark becoming Chief Operating officer.
After completing upwards of 500 projects and building some of the most remarkable structures on the east end of Long Island, in April of 2006, Hamptons Luxury Homes , a public company, acquired Telemark Inc and its subsidiaries. Frank and Roy Dalene maintain controlling interest in the firm and continue to operate the company as they have in the past. Their plans for the future are to increase market share locally .
